Club Boats

    Club boats on the beach

At LLSC we have a number of sailing boats available to members and their visitors to encourage participation in club racing, as well as any cruising activity or simply to enjoy messing around in boats through the summer season. You will often find our juniors enjoying the challenge of the capsize drill in our toppers. All club boats are located on the main beach. As the pictures show, we currently own a Laser2000 (now just called 2000), an RS200 and a Wayfarer with the addition of three Toppers and two good racing lasers with full XD kit.

    Club Boats

A lot of the equipment for the boats is already on them but you may have to venture to the main canoe shed for the laser and topper masts and sails for the RS200 and Laser 2000 which are kept in their orange sail bags. Laser foil bags are also found here; these also contain the tillers and sail battens.

    Sail storage

All equipment for the club boats should be labelled with boat type or sail numbers and please return all the gear you remove from the shed when finished. Please also note the RS200 has multiple sets of sail with a good racing set and a training set. Laser no. 152513 has the option of a full, radial or 4.7 rig and all sections and sails are available.

Loch Lomond Sailing Club is an RYA Training Centre.

Finally, if you have any problems with the boats or you think that some parts are broken or missing please let the sailing captain or a member of the sailing committee know. We can't fix them if we don't know they are broken!
