Our annual dinghy weekend for members and visitors alike takes place during the first weekend in September on the eastern shores of the loch, in the bay in front of the clubhouse. Over the years we have welcomed racing fleets as part of their Scottish Inland Series or Scottish National Championships, often including the Laser and RS200/400 fleets alongside foiling Waszps and Moths on a separate race course.
We have previously hosted Scottish Skiffs, Wayfarer, Europe and Catamaran Championships and we often add a General Handicap start for those not in a class fleet. We are told we have a record of excellence both in race management and hospitality, with catering provided all day on site and often a dinner and social at night as well as shed parties and bar.
Notice of Race is available below, with the first start on Saturday around 1300 and Sunday finishing around 1500.
A note on catering for 2021: Due to COVID restrictions there will be reduced catering this year compared to previous years. There will be a selection of sandwiches, soft drinks and snacks available to purchase during the day and a limited selection of hot filled rolls in the morning. We anticipate there being a cash bar available in the evening, but unfortunately there will be no evening catering available on this ocassion. We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
