Shifting easterly winds but mostly dry conditions made for a great weekend sailing for the 87 boats that entered the Loch Lomond  Dinghy Open Weekend at the start of September. As part of the Sailjuice Summer  Challenge the event also saw LLSC host its second National event of the year, having been chosen as the venue for the International Moth Lowrider Scottish Championship. There was good turn out from the Musto Skiff (8) , lLCA (18) and Enterprise (7) classes as well as general handicap sailing as wide as foiling Moths to Toppers along with the 13 lowriding Moths. Three races each day for the main fleet and the Moths doing 8 races over two days including one around the scenic island of the loch hopefully left the competitors feeling like they had a great event. The festivities were just as lively ashore in the bar on the Friday and Saturday, and the BBQ was well attended on the Saturday evening. Full results can be seen elsewhere on the club website. With the Sailjuice competitors off to Dalgety Bay at the end of Sep, LLSC holds its final open weekend of the season at the start of October for keelboats, K1s  and continuing its long standing relationship with the Flying Fifteen class.
